Dear friends,
Described by Esquire Magazine as "Nine Ways to Save the World", the feature documentary film, NOBELITY, will have a New York City premier on Wed, September 6 at the new Helen Mills Theater in Chelsea.
A look at the world's most pressing problems through the eyes of Nobel laureates, NOBELITY features the insights of Desmond Tutu, Jody Williams, Sir Joseph Rotblat, Wangari Maathai and others, including an eye-opening look at global health issues by Dr. Harold Varmus, Director of the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The recipient of the 1989 Nobel Prize in Medicine, Dr. Varmus will be our distinguished guest of honor at this New York City premier event. The film's director, Turk Pipkin, will lead an audience Q & A with Dr. Varmus following the screening.
Filmed across the U.S., in France, Great Britain, India and Kenya, NOBELITY follows Turk Pipkin's personal journey to find answers about the kind of world our children and grandchildren will know. NOBELITY bridges our immediate divides of politics and conflict by taking a long-term view of problems that are shared by all, and inspires viewers to take action towards a better tomorrow.
Following repeated sold out screenings in Austin, and film festival and other screenings around the country, NOBELITY begins a theatrical release with Landmark Theatres September 8 - 14 at Landmark's E Street Cinema in Washington, D.C., and September 8 -14 at Landmark's Kendall Square Cinema in Boston.
